The Cancéropôle Est supports research projects and technological platforms opening up new perspectives for patient care. The Cancéropôle also promotes interdisciplinary research projects with innovative concepts. The structuration of cancer research within the Cancéropôle geographical area of activity is facilitated by the promotion of several research axis:

• Health indicators-Epidemiology-Human and Social Sciences
• Translational Research- Biomarkers, imaging technologies and early phase trials
• Viral infection and Cancer
• Immunity and Cancer
• Pancreatic cancer
• Crossborder actions

These research axis are linked with the development of technological platforms.

The Cancéropôle also stimulates research by launching its own call for proposal to support for example conferences on cancer research on its territory.
