Résumé

Despite a specific tumour epidemiology, a higher incidence (1,700 new cases diagnosed annually) and poorer results in several types compared to paediatric patients, it seems to be necessary to focus on cancer for adolescents and young adults. Patients aged from 15 to 24 years should be now the subject of specific epidemiological analyses. In France, monitoring progress is also vital. This includes ongoing surveillance of incidence, diagnosed cancer characteristics, aetiological associations, management, pathway of care, outcome and late toxic effects.
