Résumé

The coronary artery is a crucial pathway to heart functions, due to its role in maintaining levels of oxygen and nutrients to the heart's work. In contrast, myocardial infarction is a disease of high prevalence around the world. Involvement of the oxygen supply to the heart triggers ischemia-reperfusion in the physiopathology of myocardial infarction, occluded by thrombi. Alpha-terpineol (TPN) is a majoritary showed cardioprotection against myocardial infarction in vivo, mechanisms are directed to hearts and may affect coronary tone.
