Résumé
The straightforward synthesis of the first difluoro dipyridomethene boron complexes as heavy-atom-free photosensitizers is described. These molecules show good singlet oxygen generation ( = 10 to 47%) and significant nonplanar arrangement, inducing axial and boron-centered chirality.
